Pupils work towards IDTA (International Dance Teacher's Association) exams. The exams are compulsory and are taken in our own studio on Sundays throughout the year. The students are assessed by an external IDTA examiner.

The exam fees are separate to the normal class fees and must be paid prior to the exam.

Pupils are entered for exams when their class teacher considers that they have reached the required standard in that subject.

A timetable of exams is available when exam dates are given.

There is also the opportunity to gain teaching qualifications from the age of 16 years.

The School also competes in dance festivals against other dancing schools during the year. It is recommended that pupils who are considering a career in dance participate in these events, as through this they can gain confidence and valuable stage experience.
